Ethiopia withdraws from hosting 2014 CECAFA, Senior Cup

Ethiopia has withdrawn from hosting the 2014 CECAFA, Senior Challenge Cup due to domestic commitments.
The tournament was scheduled to kick off from 24th of next month to 9th December but according to CECAFA, Secretary General Nicholas Musonye the country will not be able to stage the annual competition as they had promised earlier.
Musonye said they are in talks with Sudan to host the tournament which brings together teams from East and Central Africa region.
Kenya’s Harambee Stars are the defending champions after hosting the 2013 edition beating Sudan two goals to nil at the Nyayo national stadium.
Rwanda are set to host the 2015 edition.
